Question papers, mark schemes and examiner reports for the most recent exam sessions (within the last 12 months) can be accessed only by registered centres. If you don't have an Edexcel Online account, please contact your Exams Officer.

Please note that past papers from the October and November 2020 examination series have summer dates on them. This is because the assessment material was reused from the cancelled summer 2020 examination series.

Some of the 2022 and 2023 past papers are labelled 'modified'. This means SQA made changes to the question paper in response to the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, as part of our modifications to assessment in National Courses. For example, a modified past paper may be shorter, have fewer marks or contain fewer topics than past papers from previous years.

Some of the 2022 past papers are labelled 'modified'. This means SQA made changes to the question paper in response to the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, as part of our modifications to assessment in National Courses. For example, a modified past paper may be shorter, have fewer marks or contain fewer topics than past papers from previous years.

Specimen question papers are available for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher qualifications. These show what a question paper looks like - how it is structured and the types of questions it contains. They also include marking instructions. Find them under 'Past Papers and Marking Instructions' on our NQ subject pages.

The information in a past paper may be reproduced in support of SQA qualifications only on a non-commercial basis. If it is reproduced, SQA must be clearly acknowledged as the source. If it is to be reproduced for any other purpose, written permission must be obtained from permissions@sqa.org.uk

Where a past paper includes material for which SQA does not own the copyright, this material can only be reproduced on a non-commercial basis for the purposes of instruction in an educational establishment. If it is to be reproduced for any other purpose, it is the user's responsibility to obtain the necessary copyright clearance from the copyright owner. The acknowledgements page in a past paper lists the owners of copyright items that are not owned by SQA.

Exam Papers Online is primarily based on papers which the Library receives directly from Schools and includes papers from first, second, third year and honours years and some advanced courses. Specifically requested exclusions are not included.

Please note: for many courses the provision of exams in Spring 2020 differs from previous years due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The relevance of previous exam papers will vary greatly between courses so please contact your course organiser or programme administration team to find out if consulting previous exam papers will be helpful to you as a revision study aid.

A request may be submitted to have a paper, or papers, removed from the web pages by emailing the address below, giving details of the academic year and course title of the paper(s) concerned and the reason for the request.

You can still use Section 1 past papers to practise, but note that Section 1 no longer contains Data Analysis and Inference questions, in which a longer text is followed by a set of related questions.

The sample papers below are in the new format for Section 1: Thinking Skills, now consisting of 32 Problem Solving and Critical Thinking questions. You will also find a further paper in the new format in the section above called Practice papers with explained answers.

Please note that as curriculums have changed over time, so has the Science and Mathematics content of BMAT Section 2. The BMAT Section 2 content specification has been revised for testing from August 2019 onwards. Questions in the practice papers marked with an asterisk assume knowledge that is not currently on the specification.

For students planning to take part in the Chemistry Olympiad, trying out past papers gives them the opportunity to hone key skills and boost their confidence ahead of the competition. This collection brings together past papers from 2003 onwards, each accompanied by a summary of the topics covered as well as a mark scheme with answers.

Past papers can be used flexibly by teachers and students, with varying degrees of independence. Browse the summary of papers and topics below to find a particular question, or select a paper to work through from beginning to end.

Please note, some past papers are based on the old test specifications. The style of the questions will remain unaltered, and most of the STEP questions from previous papers can be used for preparation.

We upload past test papers and reports on test outcomes as they become available to help prospective students prepare for the PAT. Note that the PAT has evolved over time and that past papers dated before May 2006 are based on an earlier syllabus and are not relevant to the current test. While the more recent papers will more closely resemble what you are likely to see in terms of format, looking at all past papers will still provide a good steer as to the likely content of future papers.

We do not generally provide solutions to the past papers; when marking the PAT, all suitable methods for solving the questions are allowed and we would not want you to feel only one specific way of solving the problem will gain you marks. We have however published sample solutions to the 2009 and 2010 papers and our Access team has created unofficial sample solutions for the 2019 paper; these can all be found below.

The copyright in all the past exam papers made available here belongs to the University of Bath. You must therefore obtain permission before copying, redistributing or publishing all or part of any paper.

Administered effectively, past papers are the best way to prepare students for the experience of an examination. You can administer them throughout the school year to measure your learners' progression and development.

Past papers are a useful revision tool. They enable you to gauge your subject knowledge and uncover your strengths and weaknesses, enabling you to understand what areas you need to devote more time to and conversely, what areas you can devote less time to.

For each of our qualifications, there will be several past papers available from previous years. There are also tiered papers available for certain subjects and the corresponding mark schemes are also available. You can download the mark scheme for each year to mark your work with each paper.

You can find modified large print and modified language past papers in the same way. If you require a braille version, are unable to locate a particular modified question paper or have any other queries relating to modified papers please email modifiedpapers@wjec.co.uk.

The WJEC Publication Policy explains when WJEC examination documents such as past papers and mark schemes are made available to registered examination centres and to members of the public.

The library provides online access to some past exam papers on Library Search. Not all courses provide exam papers for the library, so if you can't find what you need on Library Search you should speak to your module leader.

2. Use 'content type' to filter your search results to 'Exam papers'. You might have to select 'show more' to see this option. If the 'Exam papers' option does not appear, it means there are no results that match the module you have searched for.

3. Click on the title of the module and follow the 'available online' link. Then click on 'Sheffield Hallam exam papers'. You will need to login to access the exam paper using your Hallam username and password.

Official versions of papers as originally sat are only available from the OXAM web site. The copies of papers in the past paper archive are generated from the source of past papers held by the Mathematical Institute which may not be identical to the official copies as sat on the day in the Examination Schools. The past paper archive contains papers from the following examinations. Papers up to and including summer 2019: all exams were closed book and in person. Summer 2020: exams adapted at short notice to be open book and online. Summer 2021: all exams designed to be open book and online.

The exam papers are hosted by mysoas (the School's intranet), to access you must be a student or staff member at SOAS. You will be prompted for a username and password when you go to the site - this is your student number or staff id (e.g. 123456 or ee15) and the same password you use for your SOAS e-mail, computers, BLE etc.

The current 5 years of papers are available for download. Every effort is made to provide all papers - not all courses run each year and not all papers can be made available. If you need a paper that is not available e-mail electronic@soas.ac.uk and we'll do our best to assist.

All exam papers are available in PDF format. These will download automatically on all computers in SOAS, but if you are using a computer off-site you need to have software such as Adobe Reader installed to be able to read these documents.

Sometimes there are no exam papers listed, or the ones that are there are quite old. This is because the subject coordinators have chosen not to make the past papers available or do not want recent papers available.

Please be aware that past exam papers are not under the control of the Library. Your School, tutor, or supervisor are best placed to help you with mark schemes or other assistance concerning past exam papers.

Pearson Education accepts no responsibility whatsoever for the accuracy or method of working in the answers given.
