Our members are dedicated to making a positive impact by volunteering in our community and fundraising for our chapter's philanthropic causes. Our sorority focuses on raising awareness and providing support for hearing and speech, including opportunities for hearing aids and speech therapy. By giving back to our community, we uphold our core values and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Starkey Hearing Foundation
National Partner
The Starkey Hearing Foundation provides hearing aids and speech therapy to people in Africa. Delta Zeta has raised over $5.5 million dollars for the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
American Society for Deaf Children
National Partner
American Society for Deaf Children provides oopportunities for parents to learn American Sign Language to be able to communicate with their children.
Holland Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program
Local Partner
The Holland Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program enables students who are deaf or hard of hearing to learn and communicate effectively with everyone.
Being in Delta Zeta, our members are expected to complete at least eighteen service hours per semester. Our chapter actively engages in various service opportunities to support the Springfield, MO community. We organize bi-monthly street cleanups as part of our Adopt-A-Highway commitment, create dog and cat toys for the local humane society, and write heartfelt cards to our local philanthropy partner, the Holland Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. Through these efforts, we strive to make a meaningful difference in our community and foster a spirit of compassion and service among our members.
Our chapter has donated $1,966 to our philanthropic partners this fiscal year.
