We are a team of scientists (physicists and biologists) working in San Raffaele University and Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, started by Samuel Zambrano around 2017.
We are happily embedded in the Chromatin Dynamics Unit led by Marco E. Bianchi, within the Division of Genetics and Cell Biology, and we collaborate with many groups in our institute. We also have an almost symbiotic relation with Davide Mazza's lab.
We love interdisciplinlary research and are mostly interested in applying quantitative imaging and mathematical models to understand how cells work, with a specific focus on inflammation and cancer.
Since cells are inherently dynamic, we think that they cannot be understood without a dynamical point of view.
