About Me
I am a Bachelor of Science Health Services Management graduate from Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis with a demonstrated knowledge in dental, long term care, and insurance benefits. I am also a program development and marketing intern at Cancer Support Community.
Why Health Services Management?
I was in my first semester of my second year at Indiana University-Purdue University studying Dental Hygiene. I was in a class where we were talking about healthcare for low-income patients, elderly patients, and the homeless population and how our current healthcare system is failing these vulnerable populations. I realized during the course of taking this class how much I wanted to help people experiencing inadequate access to care. That was when I found out about the Health Services Management program offered at IUPUI and changed my major.
What are my future goals?
My long-term goal would be to work in a medical practice or hospital setting in an area experiencing inadequate access to healthcare as the lead office administrator. I want to truly change the way people experience healthcare.
I am Certified Dementia Practitioner, Excel certified, and HIPAA certified.
