Bunnies need a good diet, because they can get lots of health problems, like diarrhea.
Hay ( Hay is 70-80% of a bunnies diet )
fresh water
pallets ( We do recommend Burgees )
leafy greens
Treats/Fruits ( not a lot )
Hay -A half a hand full of oat hay at a time since they need hay 24/7. Alfalfa and/or Teff hay 2 times a week until your rabbit is 1year old. Teff hay is a good additive to the diet when a rabbit is picky, pregnant, nursing, underweight, or showing.
Pallets - unlimited pallets until the age of 16 weeks, then 1/4 of a cup per 1kg bunny. ( We normally give 1/8 in the morning and then 1/8 at night )
Water - bunnies need fresh unlimited fresh water daily.
leafy greens - you should give your bunny limited leafy greens a day, do not over feed them with leafy greens. A half a hand full of leafy greens once a day enough for a bunny.
Treats/Fruits - Bunnies should have 1 treat a day like 1/2 banana, apple, bunny treats... ( Avoid overly processed treats, rather sick to natural treats like fruit )
Please note : When ever you may go to your bunny they wanting food its okay to give them SOMETIMES, because they can become OBESE, and once a bunny is obese it is very hard to stop it.
