Teachers here at DU hope you have an amazing summer, full of yummy food and fun times. However, we also hope that you don't forget to learn a bit while taking a break. Please look below and find activities you can complete during the summer. Should you complete ALL of these activities, for both your core and religious subjects, you will be able to join the Back to School party once school resumes, Insha'Allah!

Complete 6 hours of language arts IXL recommended skills. If you run out of recommendations, you will need to go into the arena to update the diagnostic.
IXL recommendations are based on the last MAP testing results. NWEA and IXL are aligned to provide tailor-made recommendations for each student. Sometimes it may ask you to do an IXL that you have done before. This reassignment simply means that you need to work on that particular skill more.
NOTE: PLEASE ONLY DO GRADES 2 - 5 BASED RECOMMENDED IXL.
Any IXL done which is first grade or below and fifth grade or higher, will not be considered towards your IXL minutes.

Books & Bundts: Pick up a reading log at Nothing Bundt Cakes on Grand Prairie Drive to join the program. Once your child has completed 400 minutes of reading (about 15–20 minutes per day) and filled out the log, they can bring it back to redeem a free Bundtlet cake!
