The second Suit in our deck is the Hearts. The Hearts are made up of some of our most creatively intelligent students. The Hearts find themselves romanticizing life in some of the best ways which lead them to be more carefree and far less uptight than some of the other Suits. Categories the Hearts tend to major in include Languages and linguistics; Media and fine arts; and People, culture, and society.
What makes a Heart?
Hearts find themselves more involved in the lives of others than their own. Their heads are always in the clouds. The Hearts are the most welcoming Suit at Dupont, and though there are still some competitive disputes between them and the other Suits, the Hearts tend to forget about their rivals and treat everyone as an equal. The Hearts typically lean towards optimism and see every glass as half full. Paired with their friendliness the Hearts can be quite emotional, and as the name implies wear their heart on their sleeve. Typically those in the Hearts come from old money.
The Hearts were the first Suit to break the Spades' initial three-year win streak in 1997 when they first won the Suit Cup. Since then the Hearts have managed to acquire 8 Suit cups, placing them in third. With that being said, the Hearts average the lowest GPA out of the Suits.
