The third Suit in our deck is the Diamonds. The Diamonds are made up of some of our most outspoken students. The Diamonds are in your face when it comes to their academics or participation in school activities and always strive for greatness. The Diamonds make up some of Dupont's most active members in the community. Categories the Diamonds tend to major in include Earth, environment, and sustainability; Education; and History, law, and politics.
What makes a Diamond?
Diamonds find themselves gravitating toward the fun of college, as opposed to academics. They are competitive and spontaneous and like to involve themselves in competitive sports as opposed to competitive academics. They aren't optimists or pessimists and instead see every situation according to how they feel in the moment. Diamonds operate on feelings and don't think their actions over before following through with them. Diamonds are often times quite messy and disorganized. Diamonds also don't like to commit to things and would rather play the field than limit their options.
The Diamonds often rival those in the first place, and when they don't win they keep a steady second place. The Diamonds have a total of 11 Suit Cup victories, but carry the lowest GPA out of the suits. But, due to their active participation, they find themselves with a great Suit Cup placement. They also have the longest house cup streak of 5.
