The Why...
I have been teaching in classrooms since 2000 and spend most of my time integrating digital technologies into my lessons and becoming an advocate for use of technology to enhance teaching and learning. The Covid situation has moved digital technologies in education so far into the future as teachers now have to use technology to teach in a hybrid or virtual environment.
I have seen so many students and teachers suffer digital burn out and there is a clear need for us all to create ways to switch off from technology. For me, that has been D&D and I am working on ways to bring it into the schools that I am working at and also document the journey so other teachers wanting to do the same already have a blueprint of where to start and where they can go for inspiration and ideas.
