We’re far from the first group of Dungeons and Daddies fans to put together a survey for the show. Two previous community surveys had been performed, but both lacked aspects that our team felt were important to include. We wanted to acknowledge these previous efforts since they were the foundation for our survey creation process and helped highlight what we wanted to accomplish with this survey
DnDaddiesnDemographics
This survey came from an Australian fan during the completion of season 1 (we’re unsure of the timeframe the survey was open for or when results were posted, but both events occurred sometime around when Anthony shared with the world that he got a Brazilian wax). The survey had responses from 2,000 people, which is incredibly impressive for being a single-person operation! It had 12 questions covering age, location, discovery method and timeframe, gender, sexuality, gaming habits (both for TTRPG and video game content), and podcast variety with a section dedicated to compliments for the cast if survey takers wanted to leave some kind words.
We wanted to expand on the ideas covered in this survey along with some correlations and other community information pieces we were curious about.

LunarRosette’s Survey
This survey was also undertaken by a single fan, with results posted on Tumblr on December 21st, 2022–we’re not sure how long the survey was open for, but it garnered 142 responses. Specifically, this survey was promoted in fandom spaces (mostly on Tumblr and several different Discord servers), so the reach to other parts of the Dungeons and Daddies community was limited. The survey had 65 questions including age, gender, neurodivergence, listening platform, social media engagement, Patreon subscriptions, favorites and preferences from seasons 1 and 2, and fandom behaviors (i.e., shipping, kinning, fanart, and headcanons).
Questions on relistens, race, ethnicity, and nationality were also present in the survey, but they were added after the survey went live and could have skewed the results.
We took a lot of inspiration from this survey for the “fun” questions on our own survey (spoiler alert: turns out Ron Stampler is beloved in all corners of the community).
