Emma Loeber is a student at the University of Denver majoring in international studies and minoring in history and anthropology. She enjoys writing in many styles, including creative nonfiction, journalism, historical fiction, and academic research. Her work has been published in the Korbel Harbinger, Free Factor magazine, DUNF, and the DU Undergraduate Research Journal.
Hayley is an English major with a concentration in English education and a minor in mathematics. She is also a dual-degree student getting her masters in curriculum and instruction for secondary English education and becoming a high school teacher. Currently, she works as a cataloguer, librarian, and guest teacher for DU’s Writers in the Schools program. In her free time, she writes poetry and fiction, knits socks and scarves, and spends time with her friends and dogs.
Eilidh is a third-year ecology and biodiversity major minoring in writing practices and geology. This is her first year as founding member and editor within DUNF.
Rebecca Arno is the Chief Impact and Innovation Officer for the Barton Institute for Community Action and serves as adjunct faculty in the University College Nonprofit Leadership Program at DU. Rebecca earned her master’s degree in nonprofit management from Regis University as part of the Colorado Trust Fellows program. She currently serves on the boards of Lighthouse Writers Workshop and the Colorado Safe Parking Initiative, and on the Reisher Scholarship Committee at The Denver Foundation. Her writing has been published in River Poets Journal, 5X5, and October Hill.
Kate Courtney is a junior communications major at the University of Denver. She is new to the creative non-fiction realm but is excited to step out of her comfort zone. Originally from Saint Louis, Missouri Kate has been writing for fun her whole life and it is exciting for you to read her work.
Hello! My name is Clarissa Diaz and I am a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Denver. I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I was able to attend college out of state through the Davis New Mexico Scholarship. I am currently a bit undecided between majors, however, I love writing and it has always been a personal strong suit of mine. I come from a Mexican American background and am a first-generation student. Outside of academics, I love listening to music, driving, and spending time with friends.
Tay is a third-year student at the University of Denver, majoring in English & Literary Arts and Psychology Studies. She also minors in Wellness and is pursuing creative writing and a career in therapy.
Lili is a third-year undergraduate student studying psychology at the University of Denver. She most enjoys writing for research, creative nonfiction, and short fiction.
Kylie is currently a 2nd year at the University of Denver. She is a double major in Political Science and Journalism with minors in History and Socio-Legal Studies. She is also an avid member of the school's mock trial team and wants to one day be a lawyer. Before pursuing a degree, Kylie was a professional ballet dancer and now hopes to one day make a difference through her work. Currently, she works as an Administrative Assistant in the Writing Center.
Will is a third-year student at DU majoring in music and minoring in writing practices. He is a founding member of DUNF and now serves as an editor.
David is a fourth-year undergraduate student at DU with an English major as well as an art minor. He is also completing his business and writing minors. He is a founding member, editor, and design manager for DUNF.
Maxwell is a third-year undergraduate student at DU majoring in English and minoring in writing practices and history. He enjoys both writing and reading nonfiction pieces and is excited to work as an editor to edit writing for this journal and make it the best submission it can be.
