Thank you all for submitting to DUNF! If you have not already, please take a look at our formatting points below, and if the requirements are met while we are accepting submissions, we will be in contact with you. Evaluation of submissions have been and will be based on your whether your work fits with our journal, the accuracy of information presented, the level of required editing, and the volume of submissions received. Note that upon submission authors are agreeing to have their pieces edited by the DUNF editors and published for public access.

General Formatting Guide
The minimum word requirement for submissions is 50o.
The maximum word requirement for submissions is 2,500.
Poems must be linked to creative nonfiction and must be within or apart of a larger piece.
Graphics submitted by themselves must be original work.
Images are allowed; image citations, or any other citations for that matter, are obligatory.
Submit your complete product to ducreativenonfiction@gmail.com.
12 pt font, Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing.
Edit to the best level you can beforehand.
If you choose to send in multiple pieces, please combine submissions into one document, with page breaks clearly marking separate pieces.
.docx files greatly preferred.
References must be formatted in accordance with the Chicago style guide.
Language use can be grounds for rejection—please send us an email if your piece is largely not English, contains profanity, or written in a vernacular that is difficult for non-community members to understand and we will troubleshoot.
We accept rolling submissions till February 29th, 2024.

By submitting to DUNF, you are granting consent for this information to be used as part of a publication project that we are completing for a course at the University of Denver. Your participation is completely voluntary. The information you provide may be used in a project and may be published online and/or in print. You must have evidence of permission from original speakers/referenced people to use quotes. Intentional misrepresentation of real people is not tolerated. It should be clear that you read and followed submission guidelines to the best of your ability. If at any time you want your submission taken down please inform us.
