Please take in consideration that...
The Dominican Republic is a developing country, some first world luxuries are not available or in short supply.
The country's water and electricity service shuts down sporadically, to offer continuous service we run from a private water reserve and have an emergency generator, all waste water is handled by a natural septic system.
If you experience any problem with the utilities please advice promptly.
We do our best to keep everything running smoothly but we need your cooperation and sometimes when the sh.t hits the fan...your patience :-).
Check out
Check out at noon / midday 12.
Late check out cost 30 US depending availability, we are flexible.
Pool
Fresh water is limited and not potable.
Please be aware that the tap water is not potable and cleaning teeth is best done with bottled water.
We have 5 gallon "botellones" available for a fee.
Please conserve water.
We invested in our own high capacity fiber internet interface.
Private connections are available from 15 Mbps to 700 Mbps.
Please report any problems promptly because the internet service provider has a 24/48 hr service window.
Towels have to stay in the apartment, not to be used around the pool or beach.
Towels are not to be used to clean up, we have maids for that.
If you destroy a towel we will charge you 10US.
Coco nuts
Be advised that fresh coconut water stains "permanently" and can only be opened by our staff at the gate.
Animals
No animals of any kind allowed in the apartments.
Smoking
No smoking in the apartments.
Guest
Guests in the common areas need permission.
During daytime your guests need to be accompanied by you.
At night your guest need to be accompanied by you and leave an identity card at the gate with security.
Pool gatherings / Noise
Pool gatherings are allowed but need 24 hr notice and permission from management and need to end by 9 PM.
Please respect your neighbors and keep the noise levels down.
Warm Water
Warm water system runs on Propane gas and runs on the following cycle
6>10AM and 6>10PM
If the sun is out there is warm water all day.
Emphasis is on "comfortably warm" not hot,
if you let the shower run in the hope the water will get warmer
you will experience the opposite effect and waist a precious resource.
Natural sewage system
Avoid beach sand from entering the showers.
Do not flush toilet paper or female sanitary products through the toilet.
Do not flush chemicals or grease trough the sink.
No laundry allowed inside apartments, please use our inexpensive laundry service.
Use paper towel for cooking grease and discard in garbage.
Electricity is expensive
super expensive, please conserve.
Please turn Airco, lights and fans off when not home.
