For CAH and EAS students

(i)               Complete all the requirements of a regular foreign language course (e.g., JPN101, no auditing is allowed)

(ii)              Attend a linguistics seminar offered by Dr. Yunchuan Chen for a graduate credit, The seminar has a total of five meetings throughout the semester (on Zoom, the detailed schedule will be discussed with students).

At the end of each semester, the instructor of your regular language course will inform Dr. Chen about your grade in his/her course and Dr. Chen will then calculate and upload your final grade (90% language+10% linguistics seminar) as your final grade for ARABIC/CHN/JPN/KOR 781/782.
