Our research focuses on two main topics: Multimedia Signal Processing and Extended Reality. Multimedia content is one of the most consumed content types in Internet applications. Yet, processing and transmission of multimedia content over networks pose many challenges. Our main goal is to propose novel methods for efficiently transmitting multimedia content, including short-form videos, 360-degree videos, and volumetric videos. Extended Reality is a term that encompasses Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality. Our main goal is to develop XR applications for education, training, and entertainment purposes.
