The course COUPLED SPH MODELLING FOR COASTAL ENGINEERING will combine theoretical lectures with progressive hands-on sessions covering DualSPHysics, SWASH and their coupling through open boundary conditions.
The practical work is organised as a sequence of eight cases, moving from basic DualSPHysics simulations using the GUI to XML/BAT configuration, SWASH modelling, SWASH–DualSPHysics coupling and validation, and finally the inclusion of flexible structures.
Participants are asked to bring their own Windows laptop, as the practical sessions will be conducted in a Windows environment. Having MATLAB installed is also recommended, as it may be used for some data-processing and application examples during the practical sessions.
