When the patient was comfortable, digital rectal examination was performed. There was no mass or lesion felt on the exam. The colonoscope was then placed in the anal canal and advanced forward. We successfully reach the cecum. The appendiceal orifice, the terminal ileum as well as the ileocecal valve were visualized. When I reached the cecum I backed the scope out and evaluated all colonic folds carefully. When I reached the rectum I retroflexed the scope, the patient did have some minor hemorrhoids. 6 minutes or more was spent withdrawing and evaluating the colon

Overall the patient tolerated the procedure well, transferred to the recovery room in stable and satisfactory condition.
