The Consumer Protection Division within the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the interests of consumers and driving economic growth in the Philippines. Its mission involves not only protecting consumer rights but also formulating policies and initiatives to support the nation's economic progress.

In addition to overseeing the effective enforcement of trade regulations and fair trade laws, the Consumer Protection Division actively engages in consumer education and information dissemination efforts. By doing so, it strives to cultivate a market environment that adheres to ethical business practices, facilitates the efficient distribution of essential goods, and promptly addresses consumer issues.

The division serves as a catalyst in fostering a thriving and sustainable trading landscape. It achieves this by enforcing policies, trade regulations, and world-class product standards while also monitoring the availability and pricing of essential commodities, thus promoting the efficient distribution of goods and services.
