Personal na kinamusta ni DSWD Secretary REX Gatchalian ang mga kawani ng DSWD Field Office IX sa Zamboanga ngayong Miyerkules, ika-22 ng Marso 2023.

Layon ng pagbisita ni Sec. Gatchalian sa mga kawani ng FO IX na alamin ang kalagayan ng mga ito at ang lugar ng kanilang trabaho upang masigurong ligtas at makapaghahatid ng maagap at agarang tulong sa mga bulnerableng sektor sa Rehiyon ng Zamboanga Peninsula.

Basa at makulay ang naging kaganapan kaninang umaga sa  pagsasagawa ng "Corre con Colores" o DSWD Color Fun Run 4.0 ng  DSWD Field Office IX bilang pagdiriwang sa ika-72 na Anibersaryo ng DSWD.

Mula Pasonanca Butterfly Garden patungo sa makasaysayang Giant Helmet landmark sa Abong-Abong, Zamboanga City, ilang mga kalahok mula sa Field Office ang tumakbo upang itaguyod ang magandang kalusugan at angkop na pangangatawan.

Habang papalapit sa nasabing landmark, sinalubong ang mga kalahok ng umuulang buhos ng colored powder at tubig mula sa Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) na nagsilbing kasiyahan, katuwaan, at pakikiisa ng buong Field Office sa pagsasagawa ng nasabing aktibidad.

Matapos ang nasabing Fun Run, nagkaroon ng masayang paligsahan ang Field Office na tinatampok ang ilang mga klasikong laro tulad ng patintero at sack race.

Maaari kayong bumili ng preskong mga gulay at bulaklak na mula sa La Paz, at iba pang mga non-food items sa DSWD open ground.

In celebration of the DSWD 72nd Anniversary, the Field Office IX will be holding the search for Mr. and Ms. DSWD 2023. The theme for this year's pageant is Señorito Y Señorita which is anchored on the overarching regional theme: Hispano y Latino Festival.

The coronation night will be held on March 17, 2023.

In line with the directives of the current administration to prioritize digitization of government transactions, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is now accepting payments through the LANDBANK Link.BizPortal, an e-payment facility which allows clients and partners of the DSWD to transact business and/or pay their monetary obligations via online mode.
