Bio: My name is Paige Dimodica and I am a freshman at the Colorado School of Mines, and I'm working towards my bachelors in Civil Engineering and I'm planning to pursue my masters through the 4+1 program. At Mines I'm involved in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Young Americans for Liberty (YAL), and the club equestrian team. At DSST I was in NHS, and graduated with the DSST scholars award. Outside of school I like to draw, read, play D&D, and ride my horse. I'm also a volunteer at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Bio: I am Ana Quiñonez, a 2021 graduate from DSST:Montview! I am currently a freshman at University of Colorado Boulder and part of the engineering school. My goal is to graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Business minor. During high school, I was part of: LSA, robotics, NHS, STEMYOU and pre-collegiate. Currently, I am a member of the BOLD center and BeTech, both of these programs target minority students in the Engineering school and their purpose is to bring resources so that students feel supported and guided through their career. I am here to talk about almost anything, if you are interested in engineering, if you are first-generation, if you are having trouble with school, or if you just need some guidance!

Bio: I graduated from DSST: Montview in 2018, and I am set to graduate from Northeastern University in May of 2022 with a B.S. in civil engineering. While at Northeastern, I was involved in a few activities, but I was most involved with two engineering design clubs: Solar Decathlon, a club that I co-founded during my junior year, and Engineers Without Borders. I began college as an undeclared major, and I chose civil engineering as my major in my sophomore year. As a civil engineering major, my focus is on transportation, but I have had experience in other aspects of civil engineering through internships during college. Northeastern University is a co-op school, so I spent the months of July-December 2020 as a full-time co-op at WSP as a civil/site and infrastructure co-op. My second job experience was at Jacobs in the summer of 2021 as an aviation engineering intern. After graduation, I plan to work as a transportation engineer, likely based in Colorado.

Bio: Bella Horton is an alumni from the class of 2018 at DSST: Montview and will now be graduating from CU Boulder in May 2022 with a BS in chemical and biological engineering and minors in biomedical engineering and leadership studies. Bella has experience as a research assistant in an evolutionary genetics lab leading projects that utilize CRISPR genome editing and working in the biotech industry designing bioprocesses for cell and gene therapies. After graduation, she will pursue a dual MD/PhD degree in bioengineering to start her career as a physician scientist. In her free time, she plays women’s volleyball, loves to escape to the mountains to ski, and can be found cheering on the Buffs at an athletics event. Bella is happy to chat with any DSST student about transitioning into college, medicine, engineering, research, the Boettcher scholarship, and CU Boulder.
