Los Santos is a ever growing metropolitan, its influence even reaches out into Blaine County from time to time.
Unfortunately one of the Side effect of growth is crime, not all crime can be stopped the moment it happens. Just like how not every murder is solved in one day. The Deputies that form the Criminal Investigations Division are full time Investigators.
Los Santos County Sheriffs Office annually receives over 230,000 cases a year that has to be issued to a detective, the Sheriffs Office has over 240 employed investigators. Some cases are as simple and open and closed, other may take weeks or even years to solve and have a verdict. A case is not considered complete until a suspect is found guilty of the crime he or she is being convicted of.
Our Detectives are considered professionals and are highly trained individuals. They are issues standard Unmarked Patrol Vehicles with minimal lighting. Detectives are not authorized to perform traffic stops unless the Crime is a Felony or Crucial to the investigation. Detectives can go undercover or perform stakeouts to gather information on a case.
We highly request that out Detectives not be approached in public, they maybe working a case or undercover at the moment. If you need to file a police report you can call our non emergency hot line for the Sheriffs Office. Our Deputies will gladly accept your call, take your report and pass it up to one of the detectives if need be.
