2023 Winter Conference:

Motivation for Your Journey:

Opportunities for Self-Reflection and Growth

DSPSA was inspired to start our Annual Winter Conference in 2021 as a way to provide the Warner community with an opportunity to share research, hone presentation skills, receive feedback, share work with the community beyond the university, and find out about the research interests of university peers. The Conference is a two-day event: Friday, February 10th and Saturday, February 11th.

The first day is fully virtual and focuses on this initial inspiration and purpose. Excitedly, this year, we have expanded our reach! Along with Rochester Coalition for Public Education (RCPE) and Rochester City School District (RCSD) we are co-sponsoring the second day featuring Dr. Rich Ryan and additional panelists for an in-person event at St. John Fisher.

Friday, February 10th

10am until 4pm

Fully Remote on Zoom

Saturday, February 11th

9am until 1pm

ST. JOHN FISHER CLEARY HALL

Call for Proposals

Given the potentially isolating nature of pursuing a graduate degree, especially in the context of the past few years, how have we found, nurtured, and sustained our own motivation? This theme asks speakers to reflect on their individual experiences in their professional, academic, and personal capacities.

DSPSA seeks to encourage a wide-range of interests and participants, so although the conference has a theme that the keynote speaker and presenters are invited to speak to, all proposals that align with Warner’s mission statement will be considered.
