Support the DSHS PTO
The Dover-Sherborn High School PTO is run entirely by parent volunteers. Our mission is to build community connections, support students through spirit-building initiatives, and show appreciation to the teachers and faculty who shape our students' daily experience.
The PTO receives no funding from the school budget. Everything we do is made possible by contributions from DSHS families and the community.
Please Consider an $80 Per Student Contribution
We ask families to give an amount that feels meaningful, with a suggested donation of $80 per student. Every gift, at any level, helps fund the events and programs described below.

Where Your Donation Goes
Grants (40%) — Funding for teacher and student initiatives, including support for competition entry fees for clubs like Mock Trial, Robotics, and DECA Math Club, professional development and conference opportunities for faculty, and classroom or school-wide requests submitted through our grant program.
Student Appreciation (35%) - Spirit-building events throughout the year, including Donut Days, Popsicle Days, Spirit Week, watch parties, and celebrations for milestones like the college application season and graduation.
Teacher Appreciation (20%) - The Welcome Back Luncheon, Professional Day meals, holiday cookie swap, and end-of-year teacher appreciation events.
Other (5%) - Grade-specific parent gatherings and administrative costs of running the PTO.
What Your Support Makes Possible
Every event, grant, and gathering the PTO hosts is funded by parent and community donations. Recent examples include:
The Annual Principal's Activity Fund, which covers competition fees for student clubs
Teacher conference and professional development support
The Welcome Back Teacher Appreciation Lunch for DSHS faculty
Donut Days and other spirit events for the student body
Support for student-run initiatives, including Homecoming activities organized by the Student Executive Committee
Grade-specific parent gatherings that help build community across the school

DSHS PTO is a 501(c)(3) charity, so all gifts are fully tax-deductible and may be eligible for corporate matching at participating workplaces.
