DS Cup Series: Quarter Three Recap

Quarter 3 Recap

Quarter three wrapped up last weekend at the first and only dirt track of the regular season, Townser Grove. The six races were exciting and with a new track debuting brought a challenge for the birds. 

In the Main Series Pink moves up a spot, now being tied for 4th with Dark Green. Blue currently leads the way in points with Red right behind by one point. 

Across the Energizer Series, primarily Primary has been doing well, with back-to-back 3rd place finishes and a 6th place finish, now sitting tied for first with Orange & Cream. The battle for the last playoff spot continues with Blue & Green 17 points out. Gold & Brown sits in the last non-locked spot, only needing 5 points in the next three races to lock themselves in, and Blue & Green would also need to win the next three races for this to occur. Cyan has continued to reign in his first track supremacy, sweeping the Energizer Series and Main Series race. 

For the first time ever the Energizer Series went to Dogwood Speedway! The first pit strategy race of the season brought a challenge for all the birds but it was a super fun race. 

The Pennzoil Series kicked off and through three races it’s been all over the place! Sky blue and his teammate Magenta have been the best thus far. 

In the Hotsy Junior Series Purple has been fun to watch with Purple winning all the races so far. More of the schedule will be released soon.

Sturgeon Lake Speedway: ES Winner: Pink & Yellow; MS Winner: Pink & White; PS Winner: Magenta

Townser Grove Speedway: ES Winner: Cyan (Red & Gold TW); MS Winner: Cyan (Pink TW); PS Winner: Brown

Oakville Speedway: PS Winner: Sky Blue

The NIBRA Series West and East concluded this quarter, with Cyan winning West and Orange & Blue winning East. 

The weather has been nice and dry for all the races, a nice change of pace compared to the other races earlier in the year.

The final stretch of the season for the Main Series and Energizer Series with some very challenging tracks! And with the tight points race will make this very interesting, and it all starts April 17th
