LMP III

restaurant project

We started off with the 7p's. We advertised the Product in a pleasing way so that it attracts guests. We shared the Price on the digital menus, we did research about fine dining to figure out which price matched well with each dish. We Promoted our restaurant on Instagram, but unfortunately Facebook was in the making. We put our Place on advertisements, and we chose our place because of popularity. We "Packaged" by the use of the backdrop and the servers professional dress. Our Positioning was our etiquette and hospitality. This would effect what the judges say about our service, so we used our skills that we learned from class. Last but not least, People. We knew how to communicate with the judges and portray hospitality.

We initially had a Facebook, website, and Instagram. Having a variety of ways to advertise online was the key to be recognized. We had a digital menu. We advertised our opening date. We had a catchy motto " Taste it, Love it, Return to it". We shared our contact info. We posted often to showcase our dishes. The theme was set. Scrolling through our Instagram showed a sense of organization and professionalism.

To figure out what prices we wanted to incorporate, we looked into different fine dining. We used Panda Express and Olive Garden Looking through different restaurants helped us find what price seemed more accurate. We wanted to be cheaper than Olive Garden but more expensive than Panda Express. We knew that that Fujichiban was popular in tumon and had similar dishes, so we made sure to make it look more pleasing and not too expensive.

Focus on what you can control:

  1. Performance: I can control my time management by considering my obligations at both home and school. Instead of pushing things behind, I can plan my tasks ahead of time.

  2. Accepting: Accept my mistakes and the consequences. I will think more about what I can do to move forward and not dwelling on the past.

  3. Support: My teachers, friends, and family play an important role in my life. It's crucial to make sure those around me know I'm in arms reach. It's also good to be aware of the guidance available for me.

  4. Avoid conflict: Avoid doubting those around me. Nobody knows anybody's story, so it's righteous to consider each others' circumstances.

  5. Doing more: Do more for the people I love. Sometimes I get really busy and forget I have a lot of great people around me.

  6. Enthusiasm: Don't take time and people for granted. I can control what and who to show gratitude to.

  7. Improvement: Progress comes with practice. The more I practice healthy habits, the better I become.

  8. Better health: Stay mentally, emotionally, and physically active. Paying attention to my health triangle is invigorating and will help me become successful.

  9. Spending time: Spending time with people will help my emotional health. Life is good when you treat the people around you well.

  10. Teach kids: Teach adolescents what I've learned and how it helped. I always enjoy influencing good habits.

trip advisor review of guam hotels:

Tsubaki Hotel and Dusit Thani both had really great reviews. The guests expressed that services provided exceeded their expectations. The average ratings among the two are 4.0-4.5. Although the reviews were very positive, management took the time to respond and show gratitude to their guests. The responders to these positive reviews were HM-OGBR Manager. No responders to Tsubaki guests. One complain was the water not automatically turning off in Dusit Thani. There was also a customer whose room was not cleaned well for the first time out of many stays. No manager responded.

Garden Villa offers 98 available rooms for stay. Quite a few people described the hotel as dirty and cheap. Their experiences seemed unpleasing. The average rating is 3.5. Managers did reply, and truly seemed concerned. They asked to get further feedback and event shared their contact information. They asked to be personally contacted for future reference to accommodate this guests needs. The responder was OTA Sales, Sales Assistant.

In conclusion, Guam's hospitality services seem accommodating. Whenever there is an issue, the managers respond appropriately. However, maintenance seems like quite an issue and should be immediately handled. Managers express that problems will be solved, hopefully they stick to their word. All in all I'm proud to soon be a part of hospitality after seeing that many people here do their job with compassion.
