Supplement to unit on drugs, alcohol, and addiction for high school students
(Kerwin, 2020)
High school students are the most at risk for peer pressure. This is when you feel pressured by a friend to do something that you don't want to do. High schoolers are also at a stage in their life where they want to have freedom so they do things that they shouldn't because they think its cool. Curiosity is another reason for young adults to want to experiment with substances.
