Communication

Informal modes of communication lead to misunderstandings, which result in systematic delays and inefficiencies.

Examples

Sam checking in to pick me up 

• -hotel calling early

• -sam not calling at all

Ordering coffee and breakfast on the phone

• one meal item was not available, so the entire meal was undelivered

• only half the coffee order was delivered

Canceled and late meetings

• meeting requests not related, not confirmed, not shared with all meeting parties

Requests for materials require senior officials to directly find and share those items, which should be on a public website and accessible on a staff database for any staff or intern to access and share upon request
