SITE VALIDATION OF CLEAN AND GREEN SCHOOLS (NEW POST)
The Division has just launched a search for the best clean and green schools. With this, a site validation has been conducted to determine the top contenders in this year's search for the Division Clean and Green School. The categories for the search will be open for all levels (elementary and secondary). Of the 72 schools, the validated finalists will be trimmed down into 10 contenders wherein 5 of which will come from the elementary schools and another 5 will come from the secondary schools. Activity started last September 25 and will end until all schools have been validated.
SITE INSPECTION AND VALIDATION OF PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SCHOOL BUILDING TO BE FUNDED BY WORLD BANK (NEW POST)
Site inspection and validation of proposed construction of new school buildings in identified schools gain traction with the team assigned coming from SGOD composed of Engr. Domino M. Malabayabas-Division Engineer, Hospicio P. Tabanao -EPS II and Joey M. Bantog -PDO II. Inset photos are the initial location of schools that were inspected and validated. The activity started last Monday, September 25, 2023 and will end on September 29, 2023.
UPDATING AND FINETUNING OF CONTINGENCY PLANS
The conduct of "UPDATING AND FINETUNING OF CONTINGENCY PLANS OF SCHOOLS" occurred last September 2 and 9, 2023 at the Baywalk Tourist Inn, Inc. It was participated by almost all of the school DRRM Coordinators with the exception of a few proxies due to circumstances beyond their control. The activity was welcomed by the OIC-SGOD Chief, Dr. Leorisyl D. Siarot, SOCMOB SEPS, and co-managed in the secretariat by our PDO II of CID, Edgardo Lorenzo and Ailyn D. Ponce, Librarian II. Main facilitator of this activity is Mr. Joey M. Bantog.
Project KLIMA (Kinaiyahang Lunsay Ipasiguli Mabungahong Adbokasiya)
Project KLIMA is a CCAM(Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation) Project of the Schools Division of the City of Mati. The main thrusts of this project involves the conduct of coastal cleanup, tree planting and championing advocacy in protecting the environment. Inset is a Tree Planting and Coastal Cleanup Activity at Sitio Lawis, Barangay Macambol. This activity is in collaboration with the DORSU (Extension Program), Macambol NHS, PTA, SSG officers, division personnel and families, and BLGU of Barangay Macambol. This activity was conducted last May13, 2023.
Project KLIMA (Kinaiyahang Lunsay Ipasiguli Mabungahong Adbokasiya)
Project KLIMA is a CCAM(Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation) Project of the Schools Division of the City of Mati. The main thrusts of this project involves the conduct of coastal cleanup, tree planting and championing advocacy in protecting the environment. Inset is a photo carousel of the activity, Mangrove Tree Planting and Coastal Cleanup at Sitio Guang-guang, Barangay Dahican. The activity is in partnership with the CiENRO office of the LGU City of Mati. The said activity was participated by no less than 100 people composed of division and school personnel. An estimated 1000 mangrove seedlings has been planted along the designated areas of the coastlines and afterwards a coastal cleanup was ensued by the participants. The said activity happened last April 20, 2023 at approximately 5:30 am and ended at around 9:30 am.
CAMP COORDINATION AND CAMP MANAGEMENT TRAINING
The Provincial Government of Davao Oriental thru its Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office conducted a 5-day training on Camp Coordination and Camp Management Training at the OPCEN Center of PDRRMO Office last July 24-28, 2023. There were 30 participants who took part in the activity coming from various government agencies such as: DEPED CITY, DEPED Province, PNP, PLGU, BLGU's, PAGRO, and other key offices of the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental.
