National Disaster Resilience Month Celebration
Rabat Rocamora Central Elementary School SPED peaked up its Disaster Preparedness Activities by training Students from the Grade 4-6 levels to undergo Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training on July 28, 2025. This activity is spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by the LDRRMO, Francis Jason C. Bendulo and the Team from the Provincial PDRRM in collaboration with the BFP, Philippines Red Cross and the Schools Division of the City of Mati.
On June 18, 2025, a team of Gawad Kalasag Validators visited Rabat Rocamora Mati Central Elementary School SPED Center (RRMCES SPED) to assess the school's disaster preparedness and readiness.
Present during the validation proceedings were the school's core partner team composed of representatives from RRMCES TODA, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC), and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Officers.
The event was also graced by key personnel from the Schools Division Office, including Winnie E. Batoon, Schools Division Superintendent; Jo Ann B. Mantog, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS); and Joey M. Bantog, Division DRRM Focal Person.
The morning session was dedicated to a thorough table discussion and interview focused on the school's submitted BID Form Document to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD). This was followed by an on-site inspection of classrooms, the school's early warning systems, and its Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Operation Center.
The activity served as an important opportunity to evaluate the school's systems, infrastructure, and community partnerships in disaster preparedness—critical in promoting a culture of safety and resilience within the school environment.
Brigada Eskwela 2025 officially launched last June 9, 2025, at Dawan Central Elementary School with the theme, "Sama-sama para sa Bayang Bumabasa."
This is preparing the schools for the new academic year while strengthening efforts to improve literacy.
Moreover, it highlights community cooperation in creating clean, safe, and reading-friendly learning environments.
