I'm Dr. Queen Peterson and I will be your online instructor for this semester. As a way to introduce myself I will say that I am a product of the community college system. I started my educational journey here at Fullerton College. I did not start college until my early thirties because I never felt that I could be or would be successful in college. As an older person and single parent college seemed like a dream and dreams are hard to realize sometimes without a lot of hard work. However I decided to take a chance and it paid off big time. I received by AA degree in Business then transferred to CSUF where I received my BA in Sociology and then on to graduate school at Chapman University where I received my MA in Counseling. At this point what I realized was that the hardest part of my educational journey was at the community college because at the community college most of us are learning how to be a student but, once that is accomplished then the rest is easy. So I decided to go for it and I am now Dr. Peterson.
