Navin Sharma was awarded a Travel Bursary under the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funded research network World Making Words: Connecting Women’s Literary Agency, Activism and Enterprise in South Asia during his PhD. As part of the programme, he attended and presented his research paper titled “Screening ‘Cruelty’: Emergence of the Failed Marriage Plot in Hindi Cinema’s Storytelling.” This event took place at the KTDC Mascot Hotel, Trivandrum, Kerala.
