Nancy Sidana is a Ph.D student from our work. She has worked as JRF in project entitled “Smartphone Imaging aided point-of-care dipstick platform for heavy metal sensing in water” under the supervision of Dr. Pooja D. at CSIR-CSIO Sector 30, Chandigarh. Her research area comprises Study of Organic Linkers for colorimetric detection of heavy metal ions. She has published 4 research paper and 1 book chapter. In addition, she has presented her work as two Poster Presentation in International conference and one oral presentation in National Conference.
Late Mr. Rishabh was working on the development of Image-assisted paper-based colorimetric sensors for the detection of heavy metal ions in water in our group. During his research journey, he has always been an architect of nanostructured materials for metal ions detection. Aside from being my doctoral student, he served as the Chairperson for IEEE Nanotechnology Council Student Branch Chapter at CSIO. You can check him out on ORCID (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8385-9026).
We lost him in January 2021 and will always miss his contribution in lab development.
Dr. Anupma Thakur is the first doctorate student from our group. She has been supervised jointly by Dr. Pooja, Prof. R.K.Sinha and Dr. Praveen Kumar. Her doctoral research was focused on the development of novel nanostructured photocatalysts and photoelectrodes for solar-light driven water splitting for hydrogen production. She has published more than 18 international high impact publications, 05 book chapters, more than 20 conference papers, and delivered 3 oral talks. Currently she is working as Early Career Fellow at IIT Gandhinagar. You can check her out at https://www.linkedin.com/in/anupma-thakur-471261152
