Dr. Pooja is currently working as a principal scientist at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh. She has done her Ph.D. in Engineering from the AcSIR, New Delhi (2018), M. Tech. in Nanotechnology from IIT Roorkee (2010) with Gold Medal and B. Tech in Biotechnology (2008) with first rank from Kurukshetra University. She is a well-established young scientist in the field of materials engineering for sensors, and energy harvesting devices. Her investigations are published worldwide in highly reputed international journals and been recognized at the highest level. She has published 52 international high impact publications, edited 05 books, 10 book chapters, 70 conference papers, and delivered 38 invited/oral talks. She is recipient of several prestigious awards and fellowships, few of them are Associateship, Indian Academy of Science (2019-22); ISCA Young Scientist Award (2019) from Indian Science Congress Association, ISEES Young Scientist Award (2019) by International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability, BRICS Young Scientist Award (2018), DST, New Delhi, GC Jain Memorial Award (2020) by MRSI, PITTCON- Travel Grant (2018) from American Chemical Society, SERB International Travel grant, Indo-US WARI fellowship (2017), New Delhi, Young Scientist Project (2017) from DST, New Delhi; Canadian Commonwealth Fellowship (2010) and MHRD GATE Fellowship (2008). She is also elected member of Indian Young National Academy of Science, INSA, New Delhi. Her current research focuses on developing user friendly sensor systems for water quality/pollutants monitoring. She has expertise in optical and electrochemical techniques to design field usable sensor devices for rural and urban setting to assess water quality. She is leading a world-class Advanced Analytical Chemistry and Material Processing Lab at CSIR- CSIO, with more than 10 members (Ph.D./M. Tech./Project staff).
