What It Stands For
What It Means
R - Relevance Is this about what I’m learning?
A - Authority Who wrote it? Are they an expert?
D - Date Is the information new or old?
A- Appearance Does it look neat and make sense?
R- Reason Why was it made—to teach, sell, or trick me?
🎯 Think of RADAR like your reading superpower! It helps you zoom in on the good stuff.
🖥️ Choose a fun website (like National Geographic Kids) and answer these questions:
Is this site relevant to your question?
Who is the authority (who made it)?
When was it made (date)?
What does the site look like? (appearance)
What’s the reason it was made?
📍 Use Google Drawings, Canva, or paper to make a poster showing the 5 parts of RADAR.
🎨 Add pictures, fun fonts, and your example for each one!
👥 In small groups or with your family, ask:
"What part of RADAR is easiest for me?"
"Have I ever used a site that wasn’t good?"
"Why do we need RADAR when we use the internet?"
