Here at Drexel, incoming students can enrich their student life by actively engaging in different organizations, which can promote friendships through mutual passions. There are over 300 student clubs and organizations at Drexel, and if there are none that you like, you can always start your own!

Through DragonLink, all the organizations that are open for applications are listed. You can search for events, organizations, or even news articles. This online student organization directory is very beneficial to those looking to become more involved at Drexel, and also keeps track of everything you want to participate in!
If you are interested in becoming an officer of an organization, that is also done through DragonLink, where you will complete your training and fill out necessary forms.
With having so many options, it can be overwhelming! Just remember you can always opt out of an organization if it wasn't what you wanted, and look for others you think would be a better fit!
While there are tons of options to choose from, that doesn't mean people don't share your interest!
There are many steps that need to be completed to create your own student organization.
Be completely student run, governed, and organized
Have opportunities, at both the executive and general member levels, for leadership growth and development.
Have membership open to all students unless granted an exemption.
Not serve solely as a mechanism to advance a University department or academic program.
Not serve solely as a mechanism to advance a student's academic status or grade.
Not be started by or operated by a faculty or staff member.
There are over 30 recognized Greek-life organizations at Drexel, as well as three councils and thousands of alumni and undergraduate students that are a part of the community.

As an incoming freshman, it can be expected that you want to go out and have some fun socializing!
While it is very beneficial to your health and well-being to be social, it's always a good idea to be aware of your surroundings and who you are with.
If there are any incidents or general misconduct, do not hesitate to reach out! There are always people willing to assist you or someone in need.
Responding to drug or alcohol related emergencies can happen while in college. For this reason, review the Drexel RDAP policy. Drexel acknowledges that the health and safety of students is a priority, and ensures that students are protected from University-related sanctions if they report drug or alcohol related emergencies.
This policy is in place to ensure students, in drug or alcohol related medical crisis, receive the assistance they need without fear of reprocussions for illicit substance use on University property.
The Dragon Amnesty Policy is used to maintain student health and safety. RDAP protects students who medical assistance for a drug or alcohol related emergency, free from University-related sanctions.
According to the Drexel RDAP webpage, the RDAP applies for students as follows:
Personally seeking out medical assistance for when you are experiencing a medical emergency due to consumption of alcohol or drugs.
Seeking medical assistance for another Student who is experiencing a medical emergency due to consumption of alcohol or drugs, as long as you remain with the Student until assistance arrives, barring immediate threats to personal safety.
Social Hosts/Student Organizations who seek medical assistance for another Student who is experiencing a medical emergency due to consumption of alcohol or drugs, as long as representatives of the Organization/Social Host remain with the Student until assistance arrives, barring immediate threats to personal safety.
Reporting allegations of hazing activity related to alcohol or drugs.
