Drexel offers no-cost professional counseling services for full time, on-campus students. Drexel has on-campus providers, but also can refer you to off-campus providers if deemed necessary.
Drexel offers many types of counseling services, including individual services, group services, couples services, as well as workshops and referrals
The Office of Counseling and Health Services Website recommends individual counseling sessions based on the following criteria:
"Individual counseling works best when you: (a) have some idea of what you would like to talk about; (b) feel motivated to do so; and (c) feel comfortable enough with your therapist to address your concerns."
Read more about the Office of Counseling and Health Services Website here, and explore the many options for professional mental health support.
Drexel University's Office of Counseling and Health Services offers a peer counselor program, available to all students.
Peer counselors are students, from across Drexel's many colleges and majors, and are trained to provide 1:1 support for students. Peer counselors are available for in-person and virtual appointments throughout the term.
Peer counselors are a helpful resource for students looking for support from someone who is also a student! Peer counseling is a supplementary service, but not a substitute for professional mental health counseling.
