Chapter 1: Skye

Today, a new girl is joining our school. It's great because she's Sammy's sister. And, I am Sammy's best friend! I don't really know about Sammy, but I consider her as my best friend. Sammy told me about her cousin sister lately, Josephine. She recently moved in her area. And hopefully, she turns up, now? "Samms!" I whisper-shout to her.

"What now, Skye?"

I give her a concerned look.

"Relax, chill girl. She'll be here in a few-"

A new girl enters the room.

She looks really shy. Anyone would be shy in this situation. You know, when the students in the class are behaving like monkeys. She waits for someone's attention. I look at her and she freaks out. God, she IS shy. "Are you the new girl?" I go up and ask her.

"Yes!" She says excitedly, so relieved that I spoke to her.

She has the widest smile I saw since, well, can't remember.

"Okay, will you be my friend then?"

"Sure!" she grins.

I give her a quick short hug, it's a cute habit of mine, I do it as a casual greeting.

"Your name is Josephine?"

"Yes," She says softly. "You can call me Jose if you want."

"Nice to meet you, Jose. I'm Skye. Lol, short name so you can't nickname me."

"Ohh! So you're Sammy's friend!"

"Best friend." I correct her.

"Oh, nice. She told me you guys get along pretty well. I didn't know you were best friends! And I almost forgot about her, where is she?"

For a moment I want her to shut up. Why doesn't she know THAT! Like What? Are not we best friends? Did Sammy ditch me 'cause of her sister. Cousin sister? Can't we be a trio? Over a million questions float on the top of my head. I feel SO dizzy.

"I don't know where she is. What's your first lesson?" I say.

"English."

"Room no.? Is it 28?"

"26."

"Great! You have it with her." I force a smile, "See ya!"

"See you!" Jose repeats.
