We offer a three-part training on teaching with an anti-bias, antiracist lens. These workshops address implicit bias and how that plays a part in how Black, Indigenous, and other people of color experience racism in educational institutions.
This 3 month training is part of the process of undoing and learning how to relate to other human beings with liberation as the goal which can be difficult which is why it is incredibly important that these conversations occur within an established community space. Each training is one hour and will occur one month apart. It is a comprehensive program with enough time for participants to practice strategies and report back to each other creating a community of support and accountability. Now more than ever, we need to intentionally create classroom environments that promote and practice equity, anti-racist pedagogy, and safe spaces for our students to grow and flourish. Today is that day--let's jump in and learn!
These are in-depth, comprehensive workshops and roundtables that aim to make STEM lessons, seminars, and classes more inclusive and equitable by way of curriculum and instructional analysis.
