My Education & Background
I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University (1995-2002).
I’ve got a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo — because I believe mental health is just as important as physical strength!
I’m a proud member of the Ohio Psychological Association.
About Me
Hi, I’m Chris Clatterbuck — owner and CEO of Chris C. Clatterbuck, Ph.D., Clinical Psychological Services. I started Sterling Consultation & Psychological Services back in February 2019 as a standalone telehealth clinic — think of it as my way of bringing expert mental health support right to your living room, no matter where you are in the country. I’m passionate about helping my community, my country’s brave men and women in uniform, and anyone who needs a little extra support with their mental health.
A Little About My Journey
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with years of experience working with people just like you — individuals dealing with trauma, substance issues, mood swings, and everything in between. I’ve spent a lot of time honing my skills and training in treating trauma-related disorders, helping veterans, and survivors of sexual trauma find healing and hope. I’ve been working in mental health since 1988, gaining experience in many different settings and wearing many hats along the way. Through my work, education, and ongoing training, I’ve developed solid skills and specialized knowledge in helping people navigate their mental health journeys.
What I Specialize In
Individual and group therapy tailored to your unique needs
Trauma treatment for veterans and survivors
Advanced, proven therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) — I use what research says works best.
Helping people heal from the inside out, one step at a time.
Why Work With Me?
Because I genuinely care, I keep things real and relatable. No jargon, no fluff — just honest, compassionate support to help you live your best life. Whether you’re dealing with tough memories, emotional ups and downs, or just need someone to listen, I’m here for you.
I offer telehealth services for clients in Ohio and West Virginia, making it easier for you to get the support you deserve — right from the comfort of your own space. My goal is to share what I’ve learned to give you practical tools and a caring hand to help you move forward.
