You will receive a detailed schedule upon your arrival. Here's what you can expect:
Arrive between 3:30 - 5:00pm and then get ready for the week with buffet dinner, tour of camp, orientation to the week, camp wide vespers, group building activities led by staff. Finish up the day with cabin time and lights out at 10:30pm.
Start early at 7:30am for breakfast, pack your lunch, and quick devotional before departing for service activities. Eat lunch at the work site. Return to camp for an afternoon shower and camp activities (crafts, pool, campfires, archery, etc). Dinner is served at 6:00pm in the Dining Hall. There is time for evening devotions and group processing of the day before lights out at 10:30pm.
Start your day with a camp tradition of Morning Watch led by camp staff and then onto join the rest of camp for breakfast at 8:30am. Your day's schedule will be determined by your choices. Your last day at camp will start with Morning watch followed by breakfast. During the morning you will gather for a worship service as a way to wrap up your week together and enjoy a camp activity together. Lunch is served at 1:00pm in the dining hall. The Camp will end with a camp wide closing campfire at the lake with departure following at 3:30pm

Camp Activities: One additional day around camp could include extra craft sessions, pool sessions, archery, Group Interaction Course, or indoor rock wall
Challenge Tower: Groups can spend part of a day climbing and ziplining at our challenge tower
Day Hikes: Groups may opt for a day hike with waterfalls at Dupont State Park or with mountain views in Pisgah National Forest
Visit a Local City / Town: Hendersonville - Brevard - Asheville - River Arts District
Canopy Zipline Tour: Navitat Canopy Adventures | Asheville, NC and Knoxville, TN for $88 per person (Mountaintop Tour).
Tubing: A 2-hour float trip on the French Broad River. $20 per person or $15 per person for groups more than 10. River Tubing Adventures | Headwaters Outfitters
Whitewater Rafting: A day of enjoying class rapids at a local river ($60-80 per person)
Biltmore Estate: Spend the day exploring the 8,000-Acre Estate with a tour of the house, exploring the gardens, or visiting the winery. ($70+ per person)

Each Cabin has a central room with a kitchenette, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. It can sleep up to 8 people in bunks.
Housing at Lutheridge is tight. Primarily groups will be housed in Lakeside Cabins with a few exceptions throughout the summer. You will not have a choice in the cabins you stay in, but this will give you an idea of what you might expect. Click on the image to get more information from Lutheridge's website.
Our campus is in the mountains of Western North Carolina and has four traditional seasons. Please check our weather (Asheville, NC 28803) before arriving to ensure you’ve packed correctly. Depending on the season and type/length of visit, please consider the following:
Bring a mix of items for warm days and chilly evenings. Even in the middle of summer or winter, the weather at Lutheridge can fluctuate quickly. Check the weather forecast for Asheville, NC frequently before departing.
Comfortable walking shoes. Many buildings are connected by sidewalks, roads, or walking trails.
Umbrella or raincoat.
To maintain our peaceful atmosphere, rooms are not equipped with telephones, alarm clocks or televisions. Some Cottages and Cabins have refrigerators and microwaves in them; There are centrally located refrigerators and microwaves located in the lounges of Thornburg Hall and Kohnjoy Inn. There are no cooking materials in any accommodations. Ice machines are located outside of Kohnjoy Inn, bottom level of Thornburg Hall and in the Kitchen of Bischoff.
Accessibility: Most buildings are handicap accessible, with few exceptions. We have a limited number of accessible guest rooms. If you have mobility concerns, please contact us before your visit, to make arrangements. We will do everything possible to accommodate your needs.
Smoking: Smoking is prohibited on campus.
Quiet Hour: All events and private gatherings in common areas, public areas, and grounds must respect Lutheridge’s campus-wide 11:00 p.m. quiet hour.
Directions: When using GPS please use 2511 Hendersonville Road, Arden, NC 28704 which will bring you to our front gate. We strongly encourage you use this address as some GPS providers may direct you to the wrong entrance. Upon arrival, continue until you reach a fork in the road and continue right up the hill. When you reach the top, you’ll see a few buildings and parking spaces. Park in any of the spaces and check in at Efird Hall on your left.
