Dr. KANNAN B T, Ph.D, M.I.E, C.Eng, is an Aerodynamicist & Information Scientist presently working as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur (Chennai), Tamil Nadu, India.
His areas of expertise include Fluid Mechanics, Aerodynamics, Turbulence, Heat Transfer and CFD using OpenFOAM. His present research interests include Multiphase flows, Jet flows, Aero-acoustics and Automotive Aerodynamics.

KANNAN B T received Ph.D for his thesis on Turbulent Flows for his research work in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His thesis "Studies on Multiple Turbulent Round Jets" consisted of Computational (major), Experimental (minor) and Analytical work (minor) was accepted with "High Commendation".
He has received both M.E & B.E degrees with specialization in Aeronautical Engineering.
He also received M.B.A Degree in Airline & Airport Management.
Recently, he completed B.L.I.S (Library and Information Science).
