Is the degree recognized internally and abroad?
AOU programs are validated by The Open University in the UK and locally accredited in Kuwait, ensuring both local and international recognition.
You can access the exam schedule by visiting the AOU Student Examinations page:

AOU conducts a variety of exams including:
Midterm Exams (MTA)
Final Exams
Online and in-person assessments (depending on course and semester)
Makeup exams (upon approval for excused absences)
You must submit a formal request through the SIS system. Approval is based on the nature of the absence (e.g., medical or emergency) and must be supported by valid documentation. Only students with accepted excuses may be eligible.
To pass a course, you typically need:
50% overall course average
AND at least 20/50 on the final exam.
Failing to achieve the minimum final exam score results in automatic course failure, even if your total is above 50.
If you arrive within the first 15 minutes, you may be allowed in. After that, entry is usually not permitted, and the exam will be considered missed.
You can submit a grade appeal request through SIS within a specific time frame (usually within 7 days after grade release). Ensure you clearly explain your case and attach any supporting evidence.
8. What if I have two exams at the same time (conflict)?
Report exam conflicts immediately to the Examination Unit (email below). A rescheduling procedure may be arranged if the conflict is officially verified.
