New Programs DESIGNED BY ME / MY TEAM

I have been one of three focal persons (alongside Dr. Zahid Halim and Dr. Sajid Anwar) for launch of BS in Artificial Intelligence (AI) partnered with Huawei program and the main person behind designing the curriculum for BS in AI program at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology.

The BS program was almost completely adopted at the National level and from the Academic Council of GIK Institute within six month's time.

The star attraction in the program is collaboration with Huawei (2 labs, certifications, internships, faculty training, and curriculum assistance in core AI courses from Huawei Pakistan Limited) and the Problem Based Learning Lab, which focuses on programming drones, robots, programmable cars and other autonomous vehicles.

I have been part of the National Curriculum Review Committee (NCRC) for designing the curriculum of BS in AI program for National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC).
We were successful in designing a curriculum that kept the breadth of the Computer Science program while making it specialized enough for getting the cutting edge courses in Artificial Intelligence incorporated into the curriculum.
Dr. Ayub Alvi (Rector FAST-NUCES) and Dr. Shoab Ahmed Khan (HoD C&SE, EME College, NUST) lead this team effort, where I and our team from GIK Institute of Dr. Sajid Anwar and Dr. Zahid Halim contributed to overall design and some core course design in the national curriculum available here.
