About me

Ph.D. in Computer Science with Specialization in Computational Biology and Artificial Intelligence, Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH) Sweden.

I am currently associated with Department of Business in University of Europe forApplied Sciences at Potsdam as a professor of Digital Business and Data Science since 2024. Currently, I am a member of Machine Intelligence and Data Science (MINDS) research group at the university.

I have previously been associated with Department of Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering (FCSE) at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) in my capacity as faculty member since 2018 and as alumni (and teaching assistant) since 2002. After completing my PhD from School of Computer Science and Communications (CSC) at Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH) Stockholm, Sweden, I have worked at Evolutionary Biology Center in Uppsala University, Sweden on development of various computational and evolutionary methods based on unsupervised learning. I have since been involved with applications of Big data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence and development of computational techniques for various problems in the field of Healthcare, theoretical AI, Cyber Security, IoT, Finance, and Bioinformatics, etc. I have received excellent evaluations as an instructor at FCSE and have an excellent research track record including papers in Engineering Applications of AI [IF 8.0 in 2025], in Molecular Biology and Evolution (MBE) [IF 14.797 in 2018] and in Expert Systems with Applications [IF 8.8 in 2022].
