Dr. Joanna Sztandur is a certified executive leadership coach, a scholarly researcher, a social psychologist, and a human capital consultant with over two decades of experience in professional services firms in 14 countries on three continents. She has spent her entire career serving and supporting the legal industry in her leadership and consulting roles, and most recently as an academic.

Dr. Sztandur draws on scholarly research to challenge traditional thinking, and to analyze and diagnose organizational problems related to leadership. As a consultant with a significant practical experience working in and with professional services firms, she is able to convert these insights into practical recommendations. Dr. Sztandur is dedicated to helping the legal industry link organizational and leadership development efforts to its growth pursuits through custom designed interventions. Dr. Sztandur is passionate about leadership research and continues to collaborate with fellow academics to contribute to the field. She is particularly committed to women lawyers' leadership development, mainly through coaching.
In addition to her advisory and consulting services, Dr. Sztandur designs and provides leadership development programs customized to meet the specific culture and goals of each professional services organization. These programs are designed to solidify new habits and equip lawyers with knowledge and skills to achieve ambitious career goals and step confidently into leadership roles. The curriculum follows a research-based business school model that includes case studies, team problem-solving, and one-on-one exercises. Examples include courses and workshops on leadership and leader development, team management, time management, performance management, delegating, mentoring, relationship building and strategic networking.
Dr. Sztandur earned her doctorate in leadership from the George Washington University. She holds a master's degree in Human Resource Development from the George Washington University and a master's degree in social psychology from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw, Poland. She earned her master coach certification in executive leadership coaching at Harvard University.
