GRADING POLICIES:

Standard grading policies apply in Popp's classes, with an A = 100-90, B = 89-80, C = 79-70, D = 69-60, etc.

As per school policy, grades roll over from quarter-to-quarter, with final grades posted each semester.

Deadlines are an important part of life; therefore, they will be treated as such in the classroom. Everyone makes mistakes, but there will be escalating consequences...

Late Policy for High School:

• 50% off for late work turned in within one calendar week of the due date.
• Zero credit for late work turned in after one calendar week.
• Of course, life happens... In the event of a health or family emergency, please reach out to Popp as soon as possible (preferably with a parent/guardian contact or a doctor's note), so that she may accommodate you.

Late Policy for Middle School:

• All process late assignments can be turned in until the end of the quarter for a maximum of 50% of the original points possible for the assignment.
• All product late assignments can be turned in up until the end of the quarter. Students will lose 10% of the original points, and up to 40% for every day the assignment is late.

Academic Integrity: Academic honesty is a fundamental principal of learning; therefore, written or other work which students submit must be their own and must follow proper citation guidelines. Please become familiar with the citation formats that will be used in this class. Presenting someone else’s work as your own, no matter where it originated, is cheating.

Consequences for students violating the academic dishonesty policies are to include the following:

Since work submitted is not the student's original academic work, proficiency of the requirements in the teachers standards aligned rubric will not have been demonstrated. Therefore, a grade of zero will be will be earned for the assigned work.

The first violation of scholastic dishonesty will result in action taken by the classroom teacher. All other violations of the scholastic dishonesty policy will be referred to the Dean of Students/Culture for appropriate disciplinary action.
