SEPTEMBER'S LITERATURE FUN FACT OF THE MONTH:

Edgar Allan Poe originally wanted a parrot to repeat the infamous "nevermore" within his most famous poem, but, rightly, realized that a parrot did not fit the poem's melancholic tone. Thus, the titular and ominous raven spoke the line instead, birthing the poem we know and love today.
