I had a staff member just buy a scanner for a new employee to use with Laserfiche and I don't think it is supported for Laserfiche. The scanner is an HP Scanjet Enterprise Flow 7000 s3 and I don't see that on their list of supported scanners. -scanners/. They have purchased Hp Scanjet flow 7000 s2 in the past and were expecting the s3 to be supported but it doesn't appear to be.

Thanks for reaching out here on Answers. The Supported Scanners page says "Note that the absence of a scanner from the list below only means that it has not yet gone through the Laserfiche Scanner Certification process." It's not feasible for us to test and certify every scanner on the market. I do see the "Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 7000" listed on there though.

Laserfiche supports scanning through the standard TWAIN protocol. The HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 7000 s3 Sheet-feed Scanner product page states "Scan images directly into applications with included and full-featured 32-bit and 64-bit TWAIN and ISIS" so it should work with Laserfiche through the standard TWAIN option. We also have ISIS driver support through a paid add on called Laserfiche ScanConnect, but I would definitely try TWAIN first.

I'm not that familiar with the "Configure Device Settings" options, but it looks like you might already be connected to the scanner in question (says Selected Device: HP Scanjet 7000). Unless that's the previous "s2" one?

I don't see a Twain Driver option on HP Website for the scanner. Here is the URL for the driver I downloaded for that specific scanner. -en/drivers/selfservice/hp-scanjet-enterprise-flow-7000-s3-sheet-feed-scanner/10431055

I looked at it with them. We visited the scanner manufactures site and ensured we were downloading a driver that included ISIS as a protocol along with TWAIN and WIA. It is a one package does it all deal, they are not separate downloads.

Download the latest and official version of drivers for HP Scanjet Enterprise 7000 s2 Sheet-feed Scanner. This driver package is available for 32 and 64 bit PCs. It is compatible with the following operating Systems: Windows. Don't worry if you don't know what's your operating system. HP website will automatically detect your device and select the best installer for your OS.

Measuring 7.5 by 12.2 by 7.8 inches (HWD) with its trays closed, and weighing 8.4 pounds, the ScanJet 7000 ($1,159.00 at Amazon) is not only identical in size and weight to the ScanJet 5000, but aside from the name on the front it even looks the same. The top cover over the face of the machine opens into an 80-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF), and the output tray extends out from the front. As is true of many sheet-fed scanners, with both trays fully extended, both ScanJets are more than twice as high and three times longer from front to back, but still small enough to fit comfortably on the average desktop. Where the ScanJet 5000 and ScanJet 7000 differ, though, is in their maximum daily duty cycle ratings (and scanning speed ratings, discussed in the "Scanning Speeds" section below). The 5000 is rated at up to 6,000 scans per day (as is the Epson DS-860), and the 7000 has a duty cycle of 7,500. Another highly capable model we reviewed recently, the Canon imageFormula DR-M160II ($896.00 at Amazon) , is rated at 7,000 scans per day, but unlike the other three machines discussed here, it has only a 60-sheet ADF.

Most document scanners connect directly to a PC with a USB cable, but the ScanJet 7000 (and the 5000) also supports wireless network scanning via HP's optional ScanJet Wireless Adapter 100 ($49) that plugs into a USB port on the back of the chassis. In addition to allowing computers on your Wi-Fi network to access the scanner, you can also use the adapter with HP's JetAdvantage Capture App to scan directly to either your iOS or Android mobile device. For what it's worth, the ScanJet 7000's connectivity interface is USB 3.0, instead of the much slower USB 2.0 port on most competing models. But I tested over both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connections without a discernable performance difference.

In addition to the HP Scanner Tools Utility, the ScanJet 7000's software bundle includes HP Smart Document Scan Software, the primary scanning utility, and Nuance PaperPort 14, a state-of-the-art document management program. Also included with the ScanJet 7000 (but not the 5000) is Kofax VRS Pro, a utility that evaluates and enhances poor scans to improve accuracy. The HP Scanner Tools Utility not only lets you define shortcuts for the scanner's control panel, it also helps you change power management settings and create profiles for use with third-party scanning programs, as well as view information about the ScanJet's status, settings, and maintenance. The HP Smart Document Scan Software utility, a full-featured scanning interface, lets you define profiles that contain the parameters of scans you initiate from within the program, which includes resolution, file types and where to save them. In addition, shortcuts on the scanner's control panel coincide with the HP Smart Document Scan Software utility's profiles. Each time you start the HP Scanner Tools Utility, it reads and sends them to the scanner.

Compared with competitors costing more than $1,000, the $850 HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 7000 s3 Sheet-Feed Scanner is a good value. Like its slightly less-expensive sibling, the ScanJet 5000, it comes with a complete software bundle, including document management and business card scanning and archiving programs. But for only an additional $50 more than the ScanJet 5000, you get the Kofax VRS Pro software, a higher duty cycle, faster scanning, and somewhat faster saving to searchable PDF. It scans and saves to PDF as fast as or faster than document scanners with significantly higher price tags, and it has a daily duty cycle of 1,500 pages higher than its costlier competitors, excluding the Canon DR-M160II with its 7,000-pages-per-day rating. Given its speed, accuracy, duty cycle, software bundle, and $300-to-$400 lower list price, the ScanJet 7000 earns our Editors' Choice nod.

I've got a strange issue, we've ordered a hp scanjet enterprise flow 7000 S3

This scanner has two buttons on it (simplex and duplex) you should be able to select a profile from the display and when you push the button it should start scanning.
