Stibnum is the old name for antimony. Be careful you don't confuse the symbol with Sn for tin (a common tricky chemistry test question). Tin is safe enough to use to make cans for food. Antimony and most of its compounds are toxic.

On the one hand, you won't be winning the Nobel Prize in chemistry any time soon. On the other hand, you're probably an expert in another field! If you want to improve your knowledge, grab a kid's science text or start learning chemistry online. Not interested in chemistry at all? You could simply take another quiz!

You know just enough chemistry to get by. This has served you well so far, but think how much more you could learn! Why should you care? For one thing, chemistry is everywhere in the world around you, so brushing up on it will help you choose the best foods, medicines, and household products. Another reason to master chemistry is so you can do (and understand) cool science projects.

If there had been a million dollars on the line for knowing all the answers, you would have just missed the prize. It's OK to miss a question or two. That just shows you have other interests! You have a good command of chemistry.

The next step is learning fun ways to apply knowledge and delving deeper into your favorite subject. Review high school chemistry to make sure you've covered all the bases or perform cool chemistry demonstrations to show others why the science is so amazing!

I need to create a multiple choice quiz for Chemistry. How do I have arrows in some of the choice answers? As you can see below the question comes pastes with no arrows from word doc to canvas. Little squares show up really...

Secondary school students (ages 12-18) can test their Chemistry knowledge and have fun at the same time, with the quiz providing teachers a helpful tool to gauge their student's understanding of the subject. The Quiz consists of 30 multiple choice questions to be answered in 60 minutes, either in paper format or online.

For quizzes you are ONLY permitted the use of:  The quiz paper, which will include a copy of the Information Sheet; Your Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS 2-Line Scientific Calculator (this is the only calculator approved by the department for use in CH101/102; you are not permitted to bring the cover to the calculator to the quiz room) - No other electronic devices may be used; and  writing implements (quizzes must be taken in pencil or blue/black ink - and the writing must be dark enough to scan well).

All electronic communication is forbidden during quizzes, and all communication devices (including watches) must be placed in airplane mode and stowed away in bags at the front of the room. Use of any other materials, resources, or people is cheating and a violation of the academic conduct code. All work submitted in CH101 must be your work alone.

All work must be done on the quiz. Answers without supporting work will not receive credit. Points may be deducted for incorrect significant figures or units. All work, including units, must be shown to receive any credit.

Final quiz, Tuesday, 19 December 2023 at 6pm. The final quiz will be 2 hours in length, and it is based on everything that was covered this semester. Locations were sent by email to the students who indicated that they were planning to take the final quiz.

The final quiz is held in the following locations (these are NOT the same as the previous quizzes) starting at 6:30 pm. Copies have only been made for students that indicated that they will likely take the final quiz.

Many students have said that the exam questions in organic chemistry tend to be different and harder than the ones they find in their textbooks and the ones they cover during their lectures. Those questions are typically what costs them their desired grade, despite hours and hours of studying for the exam.

To help you eliminate exam-day surprises and confidently answer all the questions in your exams, we worked through hundreds of organic chemistry exams and put together 1500+ practice questions, inspired by real-world exams.

Take our free Lessons in Chemistry quiz below, with 25 multiple choice questions thathelp you test your knowledge. Determine which chapters, themes and styles you already know and what you need to study foryour upcoming essay, midterm, or final exam. Take the free quiz now!

I've developed a bank of over 1,000 original chemistry assessment items for Moodle. Question types include multiple choice, click and drag, and calculated questions with randomly generated numbers in the prompt. (In fact, for nearly every question in which students must make a calculation, new random numbers are selected for every attempt by each student.)

Following quiz provides Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) related to Chemistry. You will have to read all the given answers and click over the correct answer. If you are not sure about the answer then you can check the answer using Show Answer button. You can use Next Quiz button to check new set of questions in the quiz.

This quiz/worksheet is the perfect way to make sure you're understanding what constitutes physical chemistry and its components, with questions addressing the topic on both a foundational and example-specific level.

General Chemistry 1 covers all of the topics typically covered in first semester General Chemistry and includes both formative assessments, with high scaffolding, and end of unit and module quizzes. This course offers highly contextualized, engaging content, designed in a logical flow that transitions smoothly between relatively small amounts of expository text, worked examples, activities, interactives, simulations, and other media. The exercises scaffold students through complex problems before moving to less or un-scaffolded practice. The many practice problems provide immediate, detailed feedback and hints as needed.

Safety protocols in chemistry labs promote good laboratory practices. This includes maintaining cleanliness, organization, and orderliness in the lab. Proper labeling and storage of chemicals, regular equipment maintenance, and adherence to standard operating procedures contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.
