Basically I need a pause (based on just a few seconds) to be put into one action so that the user can see what happens before the next action is taken. So for blackjack, when it's the dealer's turn and he decides to hit, he hits, a card is added, and then he decides what to do next. So before he decides on what to do next, I want the code to pause so it can be "seen" as to what the dealer is doing this way the dealer doesn't complete his actions in less than a second and the player only sees the results.

Well this is interesting, (the way I've programed the things is "interesting" to say the least) I did the Thread.sleep(5000) and threw it under a try catch, it does sleep for 5 seconds and then continues doing the code. However my updates to views don't show until after I press a button(Is really hating event driven programming).

You can use this model to your advantage by posting your own events. This gives you an easy way to tell your app, "do this later." In Android the key to posting your own events is in the Handler class. The method postDelayed lets you schedule a Runnable that will be executed after a certain number of milliseconds.

I have an app that shows a disclaimer at the beginning of the program. I want a button to remain invisible for 5 seconds, and then become visible. I set up a thread that sleeps for 5 seconds, and then tries to make the button visible. However, I get this error when I execute my code:

This has been plaguing me for a few days now. Any time I try to use a breakpoint to debug into anything other than an activity (background service, broadcast receiver, input method) my breakpoint will be hit normally, but then about five seconds later the device will terminate the process and disconnect from the debugger. It isn't enough time to gather any meaningful information so debugging has proven extremely difficult.

When I use the power button to turn my screen off, my music will randomly pause after 60 seconds or so. I checked settings and I have it so that Spotify is not put to sleep and is allowed to use background data.

I found the problem the new update gets "optimized" by android for battery life even though it is set not to go to sleep and allowed background access. You just have to go into the device care then under optimized apps turn spotify off so it shouldn't be optimized any more and that fixes it.

I am losing music from every source on Pandora for about three to four seconds every five to ten minutes. This is the troubleshooting I've done so far. I have deleted data storage on my phone and in Pandora Settings .I have performed a soft reset on my phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Pandora. I have tried it on my wife's phone. I have interestingly enough hook up to an old Oontz bt speaker that I had and it worked perfectly. I recently bought two new very nice bt speakers that I would like to stay with because they allow me to DJ a small crowd. I have also uninstalled all ad blockers. They have been known to be a problem. I have a gig coming up shortly so I'm getting a little anxious. Anyone have any ideas? HELP!!! Robert. Thanks.

Any time I try to play a video (YouTube, Twitter, etc.) the video will play for about 10-15 seconds and then my phone will crash and I have to do a hard reset. Video works on dedicated video apps such as YouTube, VLC, etc but if I try it in the browser, it crashes every single time. Video works fine in Chrome, Firefox, etc. but not in Brave with shields on or off. This happening to anyone else?

Description

I have a scenario in my application where users can connect over the meeting. In my case when a customer makes a call, The meeting is created using API and shared between the host and the participant. The Host will receive the notification to start the meeting and meanwhile, the participant will have a custom waiting screen.

Once the meeting is started the participant is stuck at the waiting screen for 20-30 seconds and then gets into the meeting.

Joining the meeting should only take a few seconds. if you are experiencing 20-30 second wait times then it sounds like a bug within your application, or possibly poor connectivity to the data centre. Are you able to provide any application logs or graphs?

Two days back I had to do a factory reset on my android (v2.3.6). After that, I noticed that my phone display won't turn off after 30 secs idle time, even though the settings has been done appropriately. After 30 secs, the brightness decreases, but the screen won't turn off. Is there any other setting which needs to be changed here?

For some reason my "Direct Play" was disabled (probably because I have been trying different options long ago), so I have now

enabled "Direct Play" and start time to "slow" and mine begins after 4 seconds or so.

So that yours starts after 15-20 sec seems strange.

Like my last two runs, both work outs lasted 26 minutes but the pace isn't the same, nor is the distance. I'd rather see if I've run 26 min and 10 seconds, or 26 min and 50 seconds. Otherwise I simply don't know which run was faster or better. The time is the only thing that is constant on my runs, compared to gps distsnce

I am using windows 10 , katalon studio community and I haved installed:

node js

appium

and I have up and running a virtual device within android studio(with developer mode on just in case). Is the device that appears below. So

seems that device in recognized by katalon in that dropdown but no able to spy or run the tests within katalon. Any help , would be appreciated. Here is a screenshot

Using the Tapo app on my Android tablet, I was able to record notable segments of playback (average 5 mins recordings) which will then appear in the Memory tab. But lately, on both cameras, any recordings longer than 17 seconds (sometimes up to 21 seconds) don't record at all to the Memory tab. When I press record in the Playback then stop the recording, I usually see an end of recording animation but this now only shows if recording is less than 17 seconds. My tablet has 50gb of free storage so that is not an issue.

This thing is so darn good, in fact, it'll make you wonder why Google doesn't give it to us as a stock Android element right out of the box. But on the plus side, since it isn't part of the platform as of yet, you don't need any particular Android version to run it. All you need is a point in the right direction and roughly 20 seconds of time.

While the above method allows you to see seconds in the Clock app, a more convenient way is to see seconds in the status bar itself. This is because the status bar is always visible, while the Clock app is not.

4. Enable the toggle next to Show Seconds. After this, your Samsung Galaxy phone will display seconds when you pull down the Quick Settings panel. Here is how it looks.

If you have an iPhone, you can check time in seconds without opening the Clock app. Simply look at the Clock app icon in the App Library. The orange hand on the icon moves in real-time, so you can see how many seconds have passed.

6. Once you add the Flip Clock widget on the home screen, you will also see the option to set Live Activities from the Flip Clock app. Tap Allow if you want to see the seconds on your iPhone lock screen.

By default, both Android and iPhone only show time in hours and minutes, which is not always helpful, especially when you need to keep a close eye on the passing moments. Fortunately, it is not too difficult to show seconds on your Android or iPhone clock using the methods above.

The ShakeAlert Earthquake Early Warning System, managed by the U.S. Geological Survey, detects significant earthquakes quickly enough so that alerts can be delivered to people and automated systems potentially seconds before shaking arrives. The purpose of the system is to reduce the impact of earthquakes to save lives and property.

I'm using a Pi-Hole for some time now. All seems to be working fine with 1 exception. Every 3 seconds my nvidia Shield TV box starting and repeating an DNS query to:

customerevents.netflix.com

(blocked dualstack.beaconserver-ce-vpc0-1537565064.eu-west-1.elb.amazonaws.com) on both A and AAAA.

I have activity outside my house, the person is far enough away to not activate the event, which means I cant download from the web page, I try and download from my android, I click on the share and it says downloading 3.07 - 3.44 but all I get is 1 second?

Anyone had the same issue and found a solution? I;ve been through the usual guides to enable Wifi etc which is what got me from not working at all, to connects and works but then disconnects after 10 seconds.

Have tried a number of settings on my phone and the car, and only once have I got it to work wirelessly without disconnecting after 10 seconds. I had been trying various different settings, switching the car on and off to switch off and on Android Auto on the car - had given up and suddenly it worked and didn't disconnect. Changed nothing and then it didn't work next time I was in the car. Really odd.

Here, the reference variable is named tag_hash_113 for the tag_hash_114 class. It is instantiated using the WebDriver instance. The maximum wait time must be set for the execution to layoff. Note that the wait time is measured in seconds.

Vine enabled users to record short video clips up to six seconds long[11][12][34][35] while recording through its in-app camera. The camera would record only while the screen was being touched, enabling users to edit on the fly or create stop motion effects.[36] Additional features were added to the app in July 2013; these included grid and ghost image tools for the camera, curated channels (including themed areas and trending topics/users), the ability to "revine" (share again, similar to Twitter's "retweet") videos on a personal stream, and protected posts.[37] ff782bc1db
